“If you touch me like that again, Evangeline,” he began in a husky tone, dropping to his seat once more, “in the space of a heartbeat, I will have you off this bike and onto the closest horizontal surface. And I woan be picky, no.”

Talk about being straight forward. If this line does not make you feel ‘things’, I do not know what will. lol

I first saw this on this really great blog, http://rattlethestars.com/2013/02/01/poison-princess-by-kresley-cole/ (Rattle The Stars) , great review she gave it if I might add. After reading the review I immediately knew I had to read the book. First thing I did was to get myself a copy and I didn’t regret it.

This book was amazing, a real page turner. From the first page in I was hooked and just kept on loving it.

The story follows a sixteen year old girl named Evangeline Greene and the many weird happenings that were occuring in her life. But all through the book she is just called “evie” by everyone. You will love her…I hope, because I sure did.

Okay so unlike most YA novels, with the vampires, werewolves, angels and witches, Poison princess is just so unique. The twenty-two trump card of the tarot deck come to life right. You have The Fool, The Empress, The magician.,The Alchemist, Death and many more, all of which possess unique powers, from seeing the future to controlling plants and even Manipulating what people see. All of which happens in a post-apocalyptic world, after an even simply called The Flash.

The beginning is Evies life before the flash, normal teenage stuff, boy drama, crazy best friends, overly protective mothers and bad boys we hate and love at the same time. Though everyone who sees and knows Evie think all is well, they couldn’t be more wrong because she keeps a dark secret carefully hidden in her scrapbook. A secret she knows will send her straight to the loony bin if anyone found out.

If you love bad boys, you will love this book because Jackson Deveaux is the ultimate bad guy and on top of that damn is he hot. From the first day he meets Evie, you can just tell that he means trouble. All through the book, you will either hate him very much or love him very much because the guy is arrogant, cruel, mean and an absolute jerk but then he is also protective and can save your life like every other time beacuse thats hoe he is. Okay so maybe his character is a bit raw but damn I so did not mind because I loved him. Did I mention, he has an accent?

After the flash, the world is in total chaos and with most of the world’s population pretty much wiped out, it is crazy. This is when the really weird stuff begins to happen and it seems humanity has completely changed. Evie finds herself having to rely on the one person she hates in the world, Hot jack and she is less than pleased. The two have to travel north, so seek out Evie’s grandmother and hopefully she can help Evie understand what is happening to her and how to stop it.

This is not what I am usually used to reading but, boy am I glad I started. The beginning was great, the middle was great and let me not even get started on the end, talk about a cliffhanger ending.

I can not wait for the next one. A must read for everyone who loves Young Adult and Dystopia books.
